Hi and welcome to this site.
It's great, there's generally someone on here that can offer you some support.

Well done on loosing 6 stones and maintaining it. That's fantastic. As for Xmas over indulgences, well we've all done that, and kept it going until July. The thing is that you have realised what your doing. Starting back on your old packs will help you take control again.

The first few days everyone thinks about food non stop. I restarted monday after a weeks binge, and I could raid the fridge in the canteen and pinch every bodies food and eat the lot. But if you can just get to day 5, when all that fades to the back of the mind, and the scales tells you you've last several pounds, it's all worth while.

Theres nothing wrong with you. You sound just like everyone else who comes here for help.

Good luck with the rest of the day. and hope you stick to it. It's well worth it.

Sam

I agree totally. I had a chrismas binge in 2000 and then kept going for the next 6 years. And the result, an extra 7 stone. Eeker

Firstly, we all need to know your name. I am presuming that you are not actually called 'Here I go again' Smiler

Secondly, you CAN get through this first week. You are no different from anybody else, we have all climbed walls in that first week, some of us for 4 days, some of us for 6 days, we are all different. But something that you will already know is that it does get better, and once you get over that 'mountain', its pretty much plane sailing. Try and keep busy, and keep glugging the water, and come on here for a chat. The motivation from these guys will keep you well away from the fridge.

Good luck, and speak soon.

There are a few threads started by people who are restarting. From reading them I understand it came be much more difficult the second time around. But you've started now, don't give up, give yourself a chance.

You say you started LL last year to loose weight for your wedding. Is there anything that you can use as a target this time. Getting into a bikini on your holiday?

This isn't an easy diet, your mind plays tricks on you. tells you your hungry when your not. but you've been through this before. You know you can do it.

As for my wedding, July 21st. OMG 4 months today.
I'm doing cambridge, which I gather is the same as LL but without the counciling.
Although my CDC talks and talks, could concider that as counciling.

Sarah, we've all done it (I did last week!) but please try and stay focused and keep remembering that it gets so much easier after 3 or 4 days.

Helloooo Sarah,

Well, well well, are you sure you want to get me started on my wedding as I may never stop.

Too late, I started Looking for my dress last July, and I came home crying as I couldn't fit into a size 20 dress, and most of the shops only had size 10/12s. So I joined Weight watchers and hit the gym. 3 months later I only lost 10lb.

Time came when I had top order my dress and I though sod it. I'll order a size 14. That way I have to do something about my weight.
Well i have 2 inches to go for the dress to fit, It's got a corset back so can go up or down one size. Thank God i found cambridge!!!

My original target was to get into size 14, but I'm there now, so I think I'll keep going till I get down to BMI 25. if the dress doesn't fit then I'll just have to have it altered.

I'm not getting nervous yet, but I'm sure i'll wake up one day and want to screem.

How much do you want to loose?

Hi sam

I know what you mean about bridal shops they can be a pritty daunting place when ur bigger than a size 0! i used to come home crying after every saturday trawling round the shops looking for a dress that i could actually try on. So after i got married i decided to open up a bridal shop stocking dresses from a six to a 24 that even a size 30 plus can get on cause of its corset back! Im trying to offer a more friendly service! Anyway im sure u will look stunning in your dress, and good for you getting in to that size 14! what an achievment! Last nite i weighed in at 10st 9lbs, wuld luv 2 get down to 9 sumthing ive never bin that in my life! b4 i went on honey moom i weighed 10st 2 (my lowest ever)! Where u going on ur honeymoom?

wow, a wedding dress shop that goes to 24. I don't know why they don't all do it. You may have my dress then, Maggie sottero - Zoe/ Martina. Not sure of the actuall name but they both look the same on her web site.

For years now if I've needed to loose weight i had 11 stone as my target. I've never made it, I found that if I got to 12 stone or just under i could wear a size 14 and i was comfortable with that. I'm determined to get down to below 11 this time. For the first time in 15 years i won't be classes as over weight.

Hope I helped get you through an hour or so, have to go back to work now. I'll catch up later in the day to see how your getting on.

Sam

Hey, hun.

I tend to wish my life away, too, when SS-ing, or even 790-ing. You want the day to be over, the weight loss to be wonderful, the weeks and months to fly in, so you can 'get on with your life'.

But we need to live NOW, so I do try.

Getting back into it after a break - even a short one - is so difficult. I know, 'cos I'm there, now!

Hi Sarah, I hope I'm not too late to offer some words of encouragement to you. I started LL in September last year, managed to get through Christmas with minimal cheating (1 slice of smoked salmon and 1 slice of turkey!!) but as I got further in to January the cheating increased and the weight losses decreased accordingly. By the end of February I realised that I was kidding myself carrying on with it and so stopped. That was 5 weeks ago and I've maintained my weight in the last 5 weeks...but hate being 12.5 stone...so on Monday I started again, like you using up my left over packs. I've got 2 weeks worth but I shall go to my pop in session on Sunday and stock up on more. I'm struggling every time I go to the fridge, but I'm telling myself that 8 weeks of abstinence is worth the stuggle if it gets me to a 10.5 stone size 10 skinny bod! I'm challenging myself to do one week with absolutley no cheating, no nibbles, no sniffing food and hopefully that will be the worst of it and I can carry on for the last 7 weeks.

I had no illusions that restarting would be a walk in the park, there have been so many stories of restarts on here in the last 6 months that I knew it would be sheer bloody hell! I'm actually not finding it so bad...but it's only day 4 for me today,I'll keep you posted as to how I get along. Check out my thread Return to LighterLife,I'm blogging every day of my 56 day restart over there!

Good Luck with your daemons and chatterbox...you've been able to ignore them before, you just need to find that quiet place in your mind and find your focus!

Vikki.
