Welcome back, I think theres quite a few of us here that are returning after a break!
I know exactly what you mean, its a long old battle with the bulge...I'm at the stage now where I am so tired of the constant dieting/binging saga and I want to put an end to it starting from tomorrow!
I look forward to seeing your progress over the coming months!

You are so right, i'm so glad that the weather is crap! It means that I can hide under my coat and then come summer I can (hopefully) unveil my new slim body! Well, thats the plan anyhow!
Last summer, I went on holiday and it was a nightmare because I started buying my holiday outfits 3 months before I actually went and by the time I went I'd put on about 2 stones so I couldnt wear half the stuff in my suitcase! Why oh why do we do this to ourselves???
Going on CD before your op sounds like a good plan, at least you'll have dropped a good amount of weight by then and after you have your op you won't be able to manage large amounts of food-you'll be well on your way to goal!

thanks jude about the coat cherie i don't really have one that fits and iam to stubborn to buy one so i walk round in a jumper and cardy to be honest with my layers iam pretty warm, i must look mad through as when i pick my youngest up from school the lollypop man always tells me off hahaha, when i was on CD i started on 15 feb 2005 and it was like revealing a new body as you are more covered up in winter, i remember going to a st Georges party in april id lost about 3 stones by then and thats when everyone started commenting i was on cloud 9 i loved the CD after the first couple of days i was busting with energy hope your feeling ok on your first day back on it if your feeling down just think in just a few weeks time that buzz of the clothes falling off you out weighs that need for food, you can do it we all can sparkle xx

U make me laugh! I sooooo can relate to you with the stubborn to buy a coat thing! I need a whole new wardrobe of clothes, I've only got size 12's and a few size 14's, I very stupidly through out all my size 16-18's when I lost the weight last time! WHY! I could've done with em now!
I refuse to go out and buy 'high teen sizes' but I think that I'm going to have to, I've had enough of wearing jeans everyday.
Talking of school runs, I'm fed up of some of the mums saying to me 'oohhh, you've put on weight!' ARGHHH! The thing is, I've been much bigger than this but I think that once you go down really low, they notice any kind of gain and see it as a massive amount.
To be honest, now today is finally here although I woke up initially feeling raring to go, theres that annoying little voice in my head telling me to go get a bacon sarnie and start the damn diet tomorrow- it's that same voice which has led me pile on 3 stones in a year! Also my OH wants to go for a family new years day dinner to a restaurant, can't believe I am actually considering it! Talk about fail at the first hurdle!
I don't even want to weigh myself cause I know it'l make me feel absolutely terrible, I'm at least 13.7lbs, if I'm not careful and if I don't deal with this now it'l be 14!
It's so great when people strt really noticing the weight loss though isn't it, but I find people comment more when I've put on and when I lose weight they don't say a damn thing!
How's your day going so far eating wise?

hi cherie you avn't failed at the first hurdle new years day is a bank holiday and even through we think of new day new start its far from it to get yourself started you need a least a few days to cut down on carbs or you do crave more its always a lot easier the first time round esp when your bigger the mid way through the diet is a nightmare as you feel ok in yourself and on a real demanding diet becomes a struggle when i was at 11 stone still classed as overweight medically everyone thought i had an eating disorder and gone to far and tried to stop me dieting when i could of done with another 2 stones off ignore the people telling you youve put weight on there morons with no life i had a girl a few years ago i was size 18 she was size 6 with a can of slimfast in her hand asking me do i think she should have it to lose weight i said you can only try her face was a picture hahaha she weren't going to get a ego massage from me as for my eating today ive had a piece of toast and 2 pints of water were having a big meal for the new year tonight and iam making it so smaller portion size is in order sparkle x

LOL-u are so right about those school mums, they are morons, i mean-I could never say to anybody that they've put on weight or is looking bigger nowadays! Wot would be the point? Sometimes what seems like a harmless comment can seriously ruin someones self confidence, I think if you've never been overweight or bigger then you don't truly know what it's like to be that way hence the tactless and hurtful comments some small minded people make.
Thanks for reassuring words too, today wasn't the spectacularly great start that I was hoping for but tomorrows another day as they say and maybe just expecting to launch straight into it just because it's january 1st wasn't realistic in the grand scheme of things and based on my track record on restarts. The plan is now to cut down gradually over the course of a few days, I'm going to do an atkins style diet to help me get into ketosis quicker and then start on my cambridge packs, hopefully that way my body will just slowly get into the groove of it! Instead of going from 3000 calories a day to just 500!
You have reminded me that I should be getting some water down me too, I haven't had a clear glass of water for weeks now, that's really bad ain't it!
Enjoy your family dinner, you're doing good and you've got everything in control now so keep with it, now I've gotta follow my own advice!

Dont you think that some people make comments like that to make themselves feel better? Just give it a couple of months and you will be able to turn it completely around. When you tell them exactly how you have lost the weight, just say 'you should try it!'
