My friend asked me on the weekend to do race for life with her. I fancy doing it this year. A large gang of friends did it last year but not me. I had post natal depression and the thought of going anywhere in public was bad enough, but to run around a park full of people seemed like hell.

Totally over it now and can't wait to get into my sports clothes and show off my new figure.

I am being very careful I promise...my ankle is really annoying me as it's fine for a couple of days and then flares up again for no apparent reason. It's interesting to note that it gets worse when I'm wearing flat shoes...the guys at work are loving me in heels!!

weddings pretty much sorted, just got to do the seating plan. Tried the other night what a nightmare!

I just wish I found CD last year. I was hanging on for as long as I could before ordering my dress. Then I just decided to order a size 14. Big thing really as the size 20's in the shops were too small.

Anyway I've got 2 inches to go to fit into the one I've ordered, so should be fine.

AS for the house painting. I've got that to come. I love colour and have a colourful house, but we want to put it on the market this year so will probably be a magnolia queen in a few moths time.

Morning everyone...I went off to watch Most Haunted with my hot choccie last night...sorry for vanishing! Sam, Hugh recognised Arnies name too but can't place him either...guess they weren't great buddies then huh?

I weighed myself again this morning...I know, I know...but it's always motivational in the first week isn't it? Another 3 pounds down...6.5 pounds in 2 days...that'll do Donkey (in the immortal words of Shrek!!). I'm going to try not to get on the scale again until Monday now, then I'll get a nice surprise with any luck.

So Day three is off to a good start with 2 litres of water down my neck already, a lovely hot chocolate for breakfast (it was REALLY cold here this morning!!) and I'm looking forward to a Mushroom Soup for lunch. I'm going to give the gym a go this afternoon and see how my ankle copes with it...it doesn't hurt today and I'm wearing flats, which is positive! I'm out at my Welsh class this evening so there is no danger of fridge diving at all...just the choccie and biscuits in the bar during the coffee break (you KNOW I won't go there!). I'm feeling good today, no headache at all but my mouth is grey and mouldy!! My stomach hasn't rumbled at all this morning so I think I'm nearly back to ketosis- hurray!!

Vikki.

Hi Vikki,
Don't worry about abandoning me, I only waited for 3 hours, LOL. Well about 2 minutes actually as I was watching life on mars.

Feeling much better today, I don't feel hungry at all so must be starting to go into ketosis. Got the beginning of the headache though, so will start taking in more water. My boss thinks I have a problem, I haven't stopped going to the loo today. oh well, back to work it is.

Glad you two are having a good day, i went shopping this morning and cheered myself up with a little retro top, little things please little minds eh. Tim phoned this afternoon and all in place for being home on Sunday, we decided to tell the kids afterall, their faces were a complete picture, so now i have a good excuse for putting up balloons and welcome home banners awaiting his return. Hi everyone! I'm a restarter too.

I've just come back from holiday and only put on half a stone and so am quite pleased. I had to stop LL because I couldn't take it with me. Anyway, I've reset my ticker and I'll be restarting Monday. I'm going to try to cut my carbs in the next few days and start drinking more water in preparation in the hope it will cut down the withdrawal headaches!

At the moment I'm LLing unofficially - I live abroad and there are no counsellors here. But just before I went on holiday I found that any exercise seemed to slow down my weight loss. It seemed the exercise seemed too much for the calories????? I was thinking of switching to CD and doing the 790 plan. What do you think?

It's great to find everyone here and all the support which really helped me before!

Hazel

Hi all,

Karen - my two year old looks like shes going to wee herself every time her day comes home, and she sees him every day. I can't imaging what she would be like after 9 months. I bet it was a sight you will always remember.

Having said that I'm yet to see her getting that exited about me coming home. She only wants her mum when shes poorly.

Hazel - welcome back. Where did you go and did you have a good time? You did really well to only gain 7lb. The photos of my last holiday are what made me start CD. All that lying on a beach and stuffing my face in the evenings made me pile the pounds on.

Hi again
My holiday was a dream holiday in New Zealand. Big Grin I'd always wanted to go there ever since I was a little girl. One reason is that I've always had a snake phobia and there aren't any in NZ!!! Big Grin We had booked up a trip in NZ to swim with wild dolphins and that was what prompted me to do LL for a couple of months. I hadn't worn a swimming cossie for years because I felt so embarrassed looking like a hippo. Well I took off 2.5 stones and decided to go for it. The dolphins didn't seem to mind. Now I've still got another 3 stones or so to lose and I'm determined.

I've been reading one of the other threads where one of the girls talks about how hard it is to do a second time because the first time is like a golden time where you have so much determination. I hope it isn't too hard restarting. Frowner I always knew I'd have to stop ss when I went on holiday and so I'm hoping that I can just climb back on the wagon and trundle through the next few months. I hope it deosn't take too long to get into ketosis!

Hi Hazel, lovely to have you back and I'm glad you had a fab time in NZ!! My day 4 is going really well, I feel a bit sick today but I think it's the last of my carb hangover. I'm really enjoying being back on plan as it makes life just so much easier. I hope I don't get addicted to it!! Eeker

To be honest apart from one or two little moments, I haven't found it too bad getting back in to the swing of things, but maybe a break of 5 weeks is OK...if it had been 5 months it may have been different?

Anyhoo...nothing untoward to report today diet wise, I did weigh myself again this morning and was delighted to see another 1.5 pounds off, so I've lost 8 pounds in 3 days. I know I've got to stop doing it, but the plain honest truth is that it's so satisfying seeing those pounds drop away day on day!! I know it'll slow down now and I will stop weighing daily next week!!!! I'm using a daily weight loss as a motivational tool to help me through the first week, SEE I can turn it to my advantage!!!!! Big Grin

how is everyone else in return to LL land??

Vikki.
