Hi everyone

I have been lurking for a bit and felt it was time to get more involved Smiler

I have been on SS for nearly 4 weeks and so far I have lost 19lb last week I only lost 2lb and this week the same. I havent so much been eating things I shouldnt, although I do have the 200 calorie meal as I am 5ft 8, what I have been doing though is missing some of the shakes, I dont really like them and if I dont feel hungry I dont have one and I think that is messing my metabolism up.

My consultant isnt really all that good she was telling me last week that if I was going out for a drink that I should drink vodka, I understand not to drink dark spirit, wine and lager but vodka is made out of potatoes so is it not full of carbs.

Does anyone else sometimes miss meals or is it just me Roll Eyes

hello and welcome,
firstly congrats on your excellent loss so far...
your weight loss may have slowed due to missing out packs.. but could also be due to the very warm weather which can cause water retention... so try increasing your water intake, i agree that your CDC chould not be advising you on alcohol drinking as it isn't allowed at all in SS and i really recommend doing your best to stick with it 100%.. i speak from experience once you have 'cheated' it is very difficult to get back on the diet and it makes it much much harder.. oh how i wish i had listened when people said the same to me 2 years ago... if you are not happy with your CDC then see if there is another one in your area who you can see instead....
i wish you lots of luck, i am sure others will be along later to advise and offer support too.. it has been very quiet here lately but you are sure to get plenty of support here.
claire

Thanks for the encouragement. I was really surprised when I got weighed last night I had lost 4lb instead of the 2 i'd thought i'd lost, I must stop weighing myself at home Razzer

I promised myself a chinese meal when I had lost a stone but as it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago we are going tomorrow, but I am determined to get straight back on it on Sunday, my friend that is also doing the diet is on holiday next week so will have an extra week to lose whatever I put on tomorrow. I know I shouldnt but I need to have mile stone treats along the way

Hi hun and a huge welcome to our lovely forum!

I agree with Claire totally when she says to try and stick with it 100% as once you have cheated its damn hard to get yourself back in the right frame of mind!

Change your CDC hun as she doesn't really sound any good as it is dangerous to drink alcohol whilst you are in ketosis!

Good luck for your new start on sunday!

Stay with us!

Thank you for the reply.

I went out on Saturday, didnt have too much to eat, and was straight back on the diet on Sunday, I havent found it a problem to stick to it 100% since, I really do need those mile stone treats to keep me going as I have so much to lose (6stone but will be happy with 4.5)

In what way is it dangerous to drink when in Ketosis my CDC gave me the impression that I just wouldnt lose weight that week if I drank alcohol, you got me worried now Eeker
