Hi, my name is Alexa and I am on day 2 of LL. Had a pretty horible day, feeling dizzy, headaches and very hot ! Finding the shakes quite hard to stomach, so swapped them for some different soups, just had chicken one, not too bad.

Would love to hear from anyone on lighter life and how you are getting on so far.

Hi Alexa...I just said hi over on Kelly's thread....but I'll add my welcome to you here too! I'm no longer actually on the LL programme myself, as I finished on it in March this year. but I hope I can offer some advice, motivation and support still?

Vikki.

Hi Alexa

I'm on Day 6 so not far ahead of you. I was lucky and haven't had any withdrawal symptoms during my first 6 days. But loads of people on the forum seem to have suffered at first so you're not alone.

I found days 1 & 2 the hardest, not eating food and especially drinking the water - that was killing me.

My mid week stop in was on Wed and I'd lost 5.5 lbs so I'm happy with that - when is yours?

5.5lbs, thats really good, my first drop-in is Saturday, so i'm hoping a loss will spur me on a bit. How are you finding the food packs? Are you having the bards yet ?

I love all the shakes and the soups! My fave soup is chicken and shake is strawberry.

I don't get the bars til Saturday but I use the flavours and savoury drinks which are both fine.

I couldn't drink all the water without loads of flavourings! How are you finding it

The flavourings are great and certainly add variety but be warned they have added fibre and can cause a LOT of gas!!!! Eeker!!! I had to stop using them because the noises my stomach made got embarassing!!! My LLC put a pot out in meetings for us to try...if you can give them a go and see how your stomach reacts before you blow £9.

We didn't get a chance to try them but I bought them out of desperation to help force the water down. I think they are worthwhile but i put them in fizzy water to try to pretend i'm having a real fizzy drink (am missing pepsi max)

You can also make ice lollies with them..which are ok on a hot day.

Apparently also help keep you regular!

This is a good link too Recipe photos ...Mike used to post here but sadly went to another site called Minimins, where you can still find him. His blog was the first ever reference I found to LL.
