Hello!

Finally started cd yet again, day 4 and going ok apart from terrible leg cramps overnight. I went into the chemist in boots today but the woman wouldn't sell me anything & said I needed to see my dr so I tried another chemist & she suggested crampex. I've bought some and going to give them a go tonight, has anyone used them before, does it actually work & am I ok taking them while on cd?

I am seeing cdc tomorrow afternoon so I'll ask her aswell. I finally got round to phoning her so nomore falling off the wagon for me I hope!

Hope everyones well.

Michelle x

Did someone mention my name Big Grin. Yes i did use crampex on CD and yes they worked really well. I suffered terribly with cramps due to the amount of water intake and found taking one tablet during the evening made for a much better nights sleep and no stomping around the bedroom at 3 in the morning or screaming for someone to please massage my leg. Deffo give them a go and tell the chemist to button it cause you dont need to be bothering a gp (unless of course the crampex dont work for you).

Thanks very much! I'm just about to pop one of the tablets now & see how I get on tonight. My leg is still killing me from 2 nights ago, it was so bad I was almost in tears & I scared the life out of my little boy who was layed in the bed next to me, the poor thing.

I have no idea why the woman in Boots wouldn't sell me them. i asked if there was anything over the counter I could buy and she said "oh yes, theres crampex" & got a box off the shelf. Then I asked for a bottle of perfume to treat myself, so she went to get that, came back & put the crampex back on the shelf. I said I wanted to buy them & she said oh you can't, you will have to see your gp & get something on prescription. I asked her why I couldn't use the crampex & she said it was because I'd not used it before - the silly cow! I just paid for the perfume & went into the chemist a couple of doors down & had no problem buying it in there.

I'm sat here laughing my head off at big brother, is anyone else watching it? That lady dressed up in the red alien suit is making me pee myself laughing hahah.

Yeah i am watching it too, really funny.

The chemist had no reason not to sell them to you, they are not a prescription drug and will not do you any harm if you use them for the condition they are meant for. I really sympathise with the cramps, i had some really bad and it did have me in tears, so painful that i couldnt even let DH touch my leg at all and yes the pain can last for a few days. I really hope they work for you like they did for me

I've taken 1 tonight & if it doesn't help I'll try 2 tomorrow, hopefully it will work its driving me mad!

I had tears rolling down my face with laughter when that lady was in the diary room, I felt sorry for her but a mix of her outfit, being so upset & not being able to understand her accent very well just set me off with the giggles!

Are you still doing cd?

Just an update on the crampex - it worked! I had no cramp last night so I am very pleased with that, my leg is still feeling bruised/sore from the one a few days ago bt the feeling like its going to cramp up again minute has eased off. I'll continue to take the tablet for the next few nights just to keep it away. I was reading the leaflet & it sais it comes in spells & then goes away but I really don't want to risk it happening again, its so painful I could barely get down the stairs the day after it happened!

Cdc is coming around 1.30 so will update ticker when she's gone. I put about half a stone on I think since I last seen her so it'll prob go up not down, but next week will be different!

Updated ticker, woo to 8lb loss - I'm pleased with that!

I'd put on more than I thought since seeing cdc last it was 12lb but thankfully I've lost 8lb of those before I seen her again today!

That was the heaviest I've ever been in my life & to be honest I didn't even realise I was putting on more weight as my clothes weren't getting any tighter.

I'm on day 5 now & will see cdc in 2 weeks time but knowing me I'll be scale hopping inbetween so I'll update ticker on Fridays.

I've just had one of thoe peanut bars & not sure if I liked it or not, certainly better than the lipotrim ones though!

Oh god I couldn't cope with having it every day, that must have been agony for you!

I took 1 tablet before bed last night but at about 5am I woke for a wee & could feel my leg ready to cramp. It's a good job I woke for a wee when I did so I could get up & walk about for a few minutes & managed to avoid it. My leg has only just gone back to normal & the bruised feeling gone away & I don't want that again, trying to get down the stairs was agony, I ended up going on my bum like my son! haha. I'm going to take 2 tablets tonight just incase as I'll be sat down most of the evening at work & I find its worse when I've been at work.

I got on the scales this morning, silly of me really as I had a feeling I wouldn't have lost anything. I'm still the same as I was on Friday but with losing 8lb since Monday I didn't expect to lose anything more this week. I can't believe I'm on day 7 now, I am quite pleased with myself to say the least!

Crappy afternoon today, have to go to inlaws for an hour or so then all afternoon/evening at work. I've managed to get out of spending all day round inlaws & said I'll go for an hour, OH said 2 but I agree 1hr 15 mins, how bad is that! haha.

I'm going for a soak in the bath now if OH has left me any hot water then get ready for work. I'll have a shake before I go to inlaws so she doesn't try & make me eat as usual then go to work where all the chubby people try & tempt me with biscuits! Yesterday people offered me biscuits & crisps left right & center but only because they found out by a loud mouth I was doing cd (she seen one of the bars in my bag & told everyone) - nobody offers any other time! I'll get the usual whines, moans & rude people having a go at me today about it no doubt but I'm that tired & irratable I'll prob give them what for if they say anything! haha.

Hope everyones having a nice weekend!

Which scales should I use?!

I got on the scales this morning & it was showing I'd put on 2lb. I thought that can't be right so I got off & back on & it showed a loss of 2lb since yesterday. I tried again & it did the same again so I went upstairs to try the old fashioned scales & I'd lost 4lb!

Now I have no idea which scales to go by because of the huge difference. The ones downstairs are the electric ones which I have been using since starting a week ago & I have no idea when I recharged the battery in there so those could be giving false readings & I usually take the best out of 3 goes! So should I go by the old fashioned non battery scales as those surely can't give false readings can they?!

Anyway if I go by the ones upstairs (non-battery) I have lost 12lb since Monday! Woo!

Argh!
