Hey thanx so much for the warm welcome that means so much, ive been on a few forums but they all seem to be in there clicky little groups so i still felt so alone. I think it really helps to chat to ppl who know how u are feeling, my hubby is gr8 but he is slim and knows nothin about how i am feeling and i hate talking to him about it really as i dont want to keep going on and on about the same stuff lol. This site seems really friendly [Smiler]

My email addy is lise_1972@hotmail.com (same goes to u, anytime)

Ive lost 1st 3lbs since beginning of december and thats gr8 but this week i stayed the same and im feeling real low about it. i really need to do some exercises.

Sorry Lisa pressed the wrong key there!!!! Thanks for ur message. It is daunting when u have a lot of weight to lose but god is it worth it when ur slim. My life has changed so dramatically since putting on all this weight.. I get out of breath, stay in cause I dont wanna be seen..get depressed..comfort eat and get even more depressed!! But knowing what it felt like to be slim...I really want to get back there again...makes such a difference. Lisa its diff to say what exercise if ur back hurts but Im gonna try water-aerobics with my sister on Tuesday (really not looking forward to gettin into a costume) but she's bullying me into it[Smiler]...might be worth u giving something like that a go xxx

When I started LL in July last year, I weighed in at 25 stone 3lbs and had at least 14 stone to lose. I have stuck to it 100% since then, and am over nine stone towards my target. I can relate to so many of the things said on this thread about people who have a lot of weight to lose, including plastic garden chairs and airplane seats.[:I]

I never did let my weight stop me doing anything, but I do feel tons better now. The day I bought an item of clothing from a 'normal' shop for the first time I could have cried! This forum is great for support and I wish you all luck in your journey! [Smiler]

Hi flutterby. see www.lighterlife.com and
www.cambridge-diet.co.uk
These are the VCLD (very low calorie diets) that the poeple on this thread are using, with such success. LL is more expensive, but includes group counselling. There are lots of opinions of the two on the women's health, weight loss, thread.
If it is for you, and the time has to be right - I think we've all tried EVERYTHING before. Re cost. surgery costs 7,500+ and that is what I was considering, even if I had to borrow the money, I was so unhappy and yes, desparate.
I was buying a bottle of wine each day for me and other half, now I don't and he doesn't drink either, so that's at least 25 per week. You don't have to buy, snacks of sandwiches when you're out, or fizzy drinks. Then there's the foos shopping. If you think about it after that, it's not that much literally, to give you a new life.
Anyway, I'm not here to sell you anything, or even influence your opinions. Do the research, make your own mind up, and join us if you want to - hope you do. Ann x

Last chance.

Sorry was just reading this thread and had to say how great you must feel and good it is to hear that you're still positive. Not too long to go now until you reach your goal, and the beginning of the slim new life.

Good luck to you.

J
