Hi all,

Well Im pleased to say Im back on the wagon today........ Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its felt wierd eating the last few months and I couldn't wait to start back on CD but as most of you know I wasn't allowed until today.

I weighed myself this morning and there was no change from when my CDC weighed me on Friday which was good, I did think that i may have put a couple more pounds over the weekend as we hae been celebrating my Nans 90th birthday so went out for a meal yesterday and had cake as well.

My hubby is off to Cornwall in a bit today, hes going for the week on his motorbike, he's gonna get wet, glad im not going on mine Wink

Ive got lots planned whilst he's away, im cleaning the house top to bottom. We've been having lots of building work done recently and although its not finished I cant live in this mess any longer. Hoping all the work I have to do will keep my mind off food.

So its Day 1, and i had my first pint of water about 6am and I will have my first pack about 10.30am.

I'll keep you all posted and good luck to everyone whos on Day 1 today.

Take Care,
Karen

Hi Karen (BB) goodluck on your restart today.. i am restarting CD too... maybe we can be buddies... i am definitely going to need it... although we've done it before so we'll do it again... i am fed up of feeling bloated all the time and i am looking forward to having a rest from food for a while.. it's hard work trying to make good food choices only to fine you've gained weight or haven't lost any...i hope i haven't messed up by meatbolism to the point that CD won't work for me anymore...i have a few packs left over from last time so i am starting today and then seeing my CDC on thursday... so hopfully i will have dropped a few lbs by then...
Karen (OM) not long now before you go on your hols you must be getting very excited...

Hi Karen, good to have you back in the fold, and well done ongetting through day 1. I'm on my own this week too, as my OH has gone off to Austria mountain biking for the week. I think early nights will be the only thing to keep me out of the fridge of an eve!

Hi Vikki,

Thanks, it is so great to be back believe me. Day 1 went fine, Day 2 to tackle now, I can feel another early night coming!

How are you doing anyway? Are you maintaining now or still trying to lose more?

Karen

Welcome to day 2 Karen! I'm doing fine thanks...still playing around in the 12 stones..as I have been since March! I suppose you could call it maintaining as I ping pong between 12 12 and 12 4 or so...it goes up so I cut back for a week and then relax and it goes back up, and so it goes on! But 2 weeks ago I made a startling discovery as to how I can lose weight and not feel deprived...and so far it's working out for me. I have 2 or 3 LL packs in the day, and a meal of whatever I fancy every evening. Then on the weekends I just have what I like (within reason). So far I've lost 2.5 pounds, which I have to remind myself is a perfect rate of weight loss. I'm just starting my 3rd week of this WOE, and so far I'm finding it easy to deal with and to stick to. I like the fact that nothing is off limits each evening, which is when I tend to struggle and I'm never very hungry during the day anyway, so a soup or hot chocolate does the job fine. the only down side if you can call it that is that I lose loads between Monday and Saturday (it's been 5 or 6 pounds) but after the weekend I've regained 4 or 5 pounds of that. I suppose it's down to quantity of food...as what I ingest during the week is very little in quantity compared to the weekend. I'm 4 pounds lighter today than yesterday (12 6.5 today- yipee), but I reckon I'll be about 12 7 next Monday. Right, it would appear that I'm rambling now...have a good day, keep drinking and shrinking!

Vikki, you ramble as much as you like Smiler

Sounds like a good idea to me, to be honest that is what i had planned to do 3 packs in the day and then an evening meal but obviously cir****tances wouldn't have allowed that a few months ago for me. I will be doing the same as you though when i get to my target this time. You feel like your not missing out then coz you can still have you what you like at the weekend. So what if you put a bit on at the weekend coz you know you will be getting it back off again the following week. As long as you dont slip into the routine of eating what you fancy everyday.

It's not fair really, some peope dont have to watch what they eat.... why was i given a body that has to see food and put on weight! Wink

Anyhow, its day 2 today and im doing fine. I'd lost nearly 5lbs when i got up this morning, thats what spurs me on watching the scales drop everyday. I know, I shouldn't be weighing myself everyday but hey I like seeing the the numbers drop Big Grin

Feeling a bit hungrier today than yesterday, ive had 2 litres of water and 1 pack been doing loads of housework and will be having another pack shortly, hopefully that will sort me out. I wont eat no matter how hungry I feel though Im doing this now 11st here i come!!!!!!!

Take Care,
Karen

I've been recording my weight daily for the last 2.5 weeks and seeing it in black and white infront of me like that has helped reign me in a bit. Because I can see an increase I know I really have to be careful that day, and when I lose a bit I use that to keep me going on the straight and narrow. I never used to be a fan of daily weighing because it worked against me (weigh more, eat more...weigh less eat more!!)but since I've lost the majority of the weight I want to lose, and now I'm relatively happy with my body, my weight isn't a determining factor of my state of mind (if that makes sense). Now I find that my ability to manage my weight is what keeps me happy, it's not out of control any more and I'm comfortable with who I am at last.

I know what you mean, I was weighing myself everyday from starting CD last May right up til the time I got pregnant in Feb. Thats when my weight all went haywire and i stopped weighing as it kept going up.

After losing the baby and I got the go ahead to start CD again i got back on the scales and nearly had a heart attack Wink I knew it was bad coz my clothes didn't fit anymore. Anyway I now feel like im back in control of my body. Im making it get smaller now instead of bigger.

Im glad your comfortable with who you are now. It's wierd but ive always felt like i was a slim person trapped in a fat body and when i lost all that weight i knew i looked different but didn't feel much different inside. Thats how i feel anyway, I expect the people who know me say would i was different. I think you get more confident. Does that make sense?

Anyway I got to get on and do somemore housework now, its all go!

Take Care,
Karen
